MorningMail: Building Community Through Content Syndication

MorningMail collects and aggregates information and news from internal and external sources and redistributes it in multiple formats across multiple output channels with minimal curation to build community on campus and reputation off campus. The key drivers to our success are an early and ongoing partnership between central IT and university communications, and leveraging what our information providers are already doing and/or willing to do without leaving their comfort zone. We will discuss the project history, organization, implementation, and evolution, as well as the campus reaction and reception.
