Seminar 02A - Frameworks for Planning and Implementation: Structures from 10 Years of the Horizon Report (separate registration required)

Tuesday, November 06 | 9:30AM–1:00PM
Session Type: E122
Now in its tenth year, the Horizon Report has provided a uniquely reliable and insightful roadmap to the emerging technologies and trends that impact education. However, additional information can be mined when the Report is not viewed as a singular annual snapshot, but rather as a progressively refined blueprint for a complex set of emerging structures. This workshop starts with the current Horizon Report and examines its core insights. From there, we will look at analytical methods that lay bare the structures that have emerged through a decade of the report, and study their consequences in detail. This understanding requires in turn correspondingly powerful models and toolsets for planning and implementation, a task that we will approach through real-world examples. By the end of the day, we will have worked through a set of strategies and procedures to help you inform, shape and direct decision processes on your campus.

NOTE: You will need a high speed Ethernet line and access to Adobe Connect; please run the Adobe Connect Connection Test before the seminar begins. This seminar is available to both face-to-face and online participants.
