ServiceU: Building a Dynamic Professional Development Program

We will share our approach at DoIT at UW–Madison to creating an innovative 18-month professional development program for 125 employees. Our exciting program, ServiceU, integrates project work, coaching relationships, and learning networks. We will discuss an approach for developing similar programs at your university while highlighting recommendations for scaling various activities.


OUTCOMES: Learn a method for building a PD plan that engages participants and inspires learning * Learn processes to identify gaps between current and emerging staff skills * Identify methods to incorporate successful mentor and mentee relationships and learning networks within teams
