The W3C Accessible Rich Application Accessibility (ARIA) 1.0 language and HTML5 are creating new opportunities for highly accessible web resources for people with disabilities. The Functional Accessibility Evaluator (FAE) 2.0 and AInspector for Firefox are open-source tools that support website auditing and page evaluation using ARIA and HTML5. Join this seminar to explore demonstrations and hands-on work using open-source tools to evaluate WCAG 2.0 compliance using ARIA 1.0 and HTML5 techniques.


OUTCOMES: Investigate the accessibility concepts of WCAG 2.0 * Distinguish the accessibility features of ARIA 1.0 and HTML5 specifications * Explore how open-source tools can be used to evaluate and inspect WCAG 2.0 compliance
