Research Implications for Networking

Thursday, November 02 | 12:15PM–1:15PM ET | Exhibit Hall A-C, 200 Level
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
We will explore research network uses and drivers for them, how IT can work with researchers to help them determine what their networking needs are, and where research and enterprise networks diverge and work together. We will also explore change in working practices, the networking implications of SDN, virtual networking, and research in the cloud.

Outcomes: Understand what research networks are used for and the drivers for them * Explore how IT can work with researchers to help them determine their networking needs * Investigate where research and enterprise networks diverge and how they work together
