The Library as API

Wednesday, February 13 | 12:45PM–1:30PM | Capitol Ballroom E
Session Type: Professional Development

Home to robust academic collections and a suite of information services, the library is often seen as a useful but isolated resource on campus. However, with the power and interoperability of APIs found in modern library tools, IT and library leaders can begin embedding library resources into other campus solutions. This session will introduce some library-related APIs that could be used to: help faculty construct "reading lists" for their students, embed research into the learning management system, and provide content for student-centric campus portals and landing pages.
