Three teams from the Breakthrough Models Academy 2015 will be featured in this session, showcasing a diverse set of ideas to move the needle on important issues in higher education, including authentic, relevant assessment; retention of students in the freshman year; and ensuring the quality of graduates using prior learning as a basis for their degree via a competency-based capstone course.


Outcomes: See exciting new designs for meeting the demands of outcomes-focused education * Learn about assessment for true learning and competency-based education, applying concepts from outside higher education * Have a chance to meet and talk to emerging innovators in the higher education space
