Making good decisions about institutional initiatives that involve technology requires an ability to understand and describe both the costs involved and the value that the initiative will bring to the institution. This session addresses the challenges inherent in understanding costs and the importance of the partnership between IT and finance for the success of these initiatives. The panelists will also describe how they have been able to use collaboration to help their institution better understand the value of technology initiatives.
