Cloud Computing and New Research Services: A Case Study

Cloud computing has matured as a reliable service for research infrastructure. This case study describes how ARL and Ithaka used a low-cost and easily implemented SaaS in contrast to locally run database servers to gather, store, repurpose, and publish data supporting their study, "Current Models of Digital Scholarly Communication."
