Despite cyberinfrastructure's potential to transform research at our institutions, progress has been hard to discern. Faculty continue to purchase grant-funded equipment, and many institutions are running out of data-center resources to house that equipment. Though the nature of research has evolved, it hasn't changed much from an infrastructure perspective. We'll share perspectives on whether we can point to tangible examples of progress regarding cyberinfrastructure on campuses.
