"I'm Thin and Green": Reducing the Desktop Carbon Footprint While Offering Anywhere, Anytime Computing Services

Virtualizing the user desktop can greatly reduce electrical consumption and carbon footprint. This presentation will discuss virtual desktop capabilities in place at Northern Arizona University, how these technologies are opening more avenues for anytime, anywhere computing, and how reduced electrical consumption and lower carbon footprint are embraced by end users.
