IT Security Metrics

Wednesday, November 04, 2009 | 12:40PM–1:30PM | Meeting Room 303
Session Type: E09 Hybrid
The need for effective metrics to accurately measure cybersecurity performance was recently identified as an important national priority. Metrics help improve program assessment, budgeting, research and development prioritization, and strategic planning. They are also the only reliable tool for evaluating the success or failure of a security process. Join us to share with and learn from your peers, and explore sample metrics from the Higher Education Information Security Council (formerly known as the Security Task Force).
