This presentation will describe the innovative way in which the University of British Columbia (UBC) is virtualizing its campus network to increase security, provide exciting new functionality, and reduce energy consumption. UBC is creating private layer 3 campus-wide networks for hundreds of departments based on RFC2547 (BGP/MPLS virtual private networks).
