Seminar 02A - Big-Picture Instructional Technology: Models for Planning, Piloting, Promoting, Partnering, and Predicting

Tuesday, November 03 | 9:30AM–1:00PM | Korbel Ballroom 3C
Session Type: E09 Hybrid
The integration of technology across the curriculum has gained a lot of ground in the past decade, but we have much work yet to do. No one understands this better than the instructional/educational technology director. This workshop is designed to improve our understanding of some of the most critical components of this work: piloting and planning for new technologies; promoting technology resources and services; partnering with on-campus constituents or off-campus colleagues; and predicting opportunities and challenges for this work.

During this workshop, each subtopic will be approached from varied institutional perspectives; successful real-world models for addressing these and other challenges will be offered for further consideration. Participants will engage in active learning, each contributing to the conversation while thinking carefully about these challenges from a director's perspective. Sample materials, templates, and additional resources will be provided to help facilitate this work at your home institutions.
