Seminar 11A - Implementing Zotero on Your Campus: A Free, Open-Source Solution for Student and Faculty Research in Higher Education

Tuesday, November 03 | 9:30AM–1:00PM | Meeting Room 507
Session Type: E09 Hybrid
Zotero, the free and easy-to-use Firefox extension that helps collect, manage, and cite research sources, is now enterprise-ready and equipped to facilitate your institution's student and faculty research. With more than a hundred institutions of higher education recommending Zotero as a research tool for students and faculty, the tool is a new standard in research management in higher education. In this workshop, you will learn how Zotero can help facilitate student and faculty research on your campus.

From there the workshop will lay out a set of best practices for deploying the tool campus-wide. Particular attention will be devoted to integrating the tool with instruction, building potential cross-campus partnerships for promotion, and addressing specifics for enterprise installation, including adding Zotero to your disk image and plugging it into students' and faculty's existing campus digital storage options.
