The synchronous and asynchronous nature of web conferencing tools can help a college or university enhance its level of communication with students. The workshop will begin with a discussion of the different types of web conferencing tools available. A series of case studies will illustrate how web conferencing can be used to help your institution enhance its level of communication with students, faculty, and staff. Challenges involved in the adoption of web conferencing technology will also be discussed, along with strategies to help an institution choose a web conferencing tool and assess its ability to enhance student learning and improve communication among students, faculty, and staff.
