A Student Self-Service Model Integrating Purchased Applications

Our standards called for "buying not building," but the cross-functional Student Services team had learned that successful self-service required more than a portal. A simple web application was developed to interpret data from several mission-critical systems to present a highly interactive, narrative web service that spoke clearly to the student while quietly updating all the data.
