Collaboration in a Competitive Environment: Sustaining Success Through Sharing Services

JISC uses public funds to provide national shared IT services to all the U.K. universities including the U.K.-wide education and research network, SuperJanet, an authentication and authorization system that provides cost-effective access to digital content and advisory services. This session will provide an opportunity to learn about the U.K. experience and to discuss and debate the potential for sharing IT services at a national or international level in order to create a more efficient higher education system.
