Research on Learner Self-Engagement in a Web 2.0 World: "We Used It How We Wanted To"
Wednesday, October 13, 2010 | 2:30PM–3:30PM | Hall A/B, Table 8
Session Type:
E2010
Learners benefit from blogs and wikis when their use is scaffolded by the instructor and/or course requirements. But if these prompts are missing or poorly designed, will learners self-motivate using tools made freely available to them? This session will report on a study that focuses on learners' perspectives and analyzes their motivations in participatory learning activities.
