CIOs, CISOs, and other decision makers are being called on to make big-dollar bets on security investments. Despite the widespread buzz about security metrics in recent years, there has been little progress toward agreement on even a small set of widely accepted and unambiguously defined metrics that security professionals can rely on to support their security investment decisions. Until recently, that is. This session will feature presentations and panel discussions focusing on recent progress on a set of consensus security metrics to which EDUCAUSE members, Center for Internet Security members, and others are contributing.
