Seminar 03F - Down the Rabbit Hole: Augmented and Alternate Reality for Learning

Tuesday, October 12 | 9:30AM–5:30PM | Meeting Room 204B
Session Type: E2010
Come down the rabbit hole with us! Augmented and alternate reality offer exciting new methods of learning. In this session, participants will "get their hands dirty" by playing an alternate reality game that makes use of augmented reality tools. They will also learn how these methods of learning work and how to begin creating them themselves. Using mobile technologies and intriguing story lines, these approaches to learning make the most of a university's investment in mobile and social technologies. Participants will play a game throughout the day while learning the basics of designing and constructing accessible, engaging alternate and augmented reality learning experiences.
