Most IT departments are running lean, and if you're having to do more with less, the experience of your Australian colleagues in using demand aggregation to reduce the cost of IT may help. This presentation will review the experience of CAUDIT (Council of Australian University Directors of Information Technology) in negotiating national arrangements with IT vendors and of the RDSI (Research Data Storage Infrastructure) project that has worked with CAUDIT to establish national storage arrangements.
