Implementing IT Disaster Recovery Solutions; or, Eating the DR Elephant One "Byte" at a Time

Wednesday, October 19, 2011 | 3:30PM–4:20PM | Meeting Room 204A
Session Type: E11
We all realize the need to have robust disaster recovery solutions for our institutions, but the array of choices can bewilder. In addition, planning the DR processes to meet the differing business needs of departments can be daunting. In essence, when faced with eating the DR "elephant," many institutions choose to ignore the issue and attack other problems, dreading the day when a disaster occurs. The answer to the riddle "How do you eat an elephant?" is one bite at a time. Hear how your colleagues at Loyola and Carnegie Mellon have developed IT DR solutions "one byte at a time."
