IT strategic planning is challenging even in the best of times. With today's severely constrained budgets, it can be even more difficult to plan responsibly and set appropriate expectations. We will discuss issues and challenges associated with developing, renewing, and managing IT strategic plans. Topics may include best practices for engaging students, faculty, and staff; scenario planning; innovative strategies like crowdsourcing; lessons learned; and achieving alignment with institutional priorities.
