PLEASE NOTE: Separate registration and fee is required to attend this seminar.

Tuesday, October 18 | 2:00PM–5:00PM
Session Type: E112
Open initiatives can provide powerful solutions to education, impacting access and quality, addressing national concerns about competitiveness, and bringing more global perspectives into curricula. Several "readiness" factors must be addressed for the promise of this disruptive movement to be realized.

This workshop will help leaders productively embrace open education initiatives to achieve core institutional goals, including technology-enabled solutions to improve affordability, increase access, and enhance the quality of programs and curriculum. Participants will develop a framework to identify and address critical "readiness factors" that increase the broad, systemic impact of open education initiatives across educational programs and curriculum development, infrastructure for educational delivery, and organizational considerations such as policy, culture, and governance.
