While many institutions suffer data breaches, the focus of this seminar will be to turn any negative event into a positive one. The seminar presenters will use their institutions' events as concrete examples and provide a broader, more conceptual context around such situations. Participants will be presented with an overview of the trigger events, the analyses of each institution's information security posture, and the development of the roadmaps to remediation and improvement of the "state of information security." In small groups, participants will be given opportunities to share their personal experiences and provide their expertise to help others. Additionally, participants will be given tabletop exercises to walk through sample scenarios in a structured manner to reinforce the concepts presented during this seminar.
