Seminar 10P - We Want You to Use Open Content
PLEASE NOTE: Separate registration and fee is required to attend this seminar.

Tuesday, October 18, 2011 | 2:00PM–5:30PM | Meeting Room 109A/B
Session Type: E11

There are tons of materials "freely" available on the web that you and your students might use in your classes; however, where is it? And, what copyright laws and fair use policies apply? Come to this presentation to learn about resources to find various types of open content, including images, video, audio, text, presentations, and reusable learning objects. We will also discuss other related issues like how to pedagogically incorporate outside resources into your courses as well as how to address copyright, fair use, and documentation in the 21st century. Specifically, we will spend some time discussing how faculty and students can contribute back to the open content movement through Creative Commons. Please Note: a laptop is required for this seminar.
