PLEASE NOTE: Separate registration and fee is required to attend this seminar.

Tuesday, October 18 | 9:30AM–1:00PM | Meeting Room 115A
Session Type: E11
This seminar proposes to share Virginia Tech's electronic portfolio experiences. Specific examples of portfolios for learning, assessment, and professional development will be discussed. We will explain how we support faculty and students, including the university's center for emerging technologies, InnovationSpace. We will share our portfolio processes like the structure of our design meetings, our portfolio tools, and the infrastructure needed to implement e-portfolios throughout our institution so participants can learn from the challenges we faced and apply our strategies for success. The seminar will include a participatory design process to facilitate development and share experiences. Participants should leave with a greater understanding of how to implement e-portfolios throughout the university. We will also provide resource materials including our student and faculty guides, links to our website and video tutorials, sample reflection prompts, sample e-portfolio activities, and a copy of our e-portfolio design document. Please Note: a laptop is required for this seminar.
