Social Media

Thursday, October 20 | 5:00PM–5:50PM | Meeting Room 104A/B
Session Type: E11
In our second year, we'll continue the dialogue on using social media to increase communication, build online learning communities, create connections between instructors and students, and enhance engagement. We'll focus on harnessing social media's capacity, share our experiences, and explore the implications of integrating social media for teaching, recruiting, advising, and more. For our purposes, social media is defined as media that's used to build social networks and connections for sharing information through a mediated channel (Twitter, Facebook, Second Life, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr, and more).
