Spurring Others Toward Leadership in Our Profession

Thursday, October 20, 2011 | 3:30PM–4:20PM | Meeting Room 113A
Session Type: E11
This session will offer approaches, thoughts, and ideas to spur others toward leadership within higher education information technology. We'll focus on two audiences with differing perspectives: those who aspire to be leaders, and those who are residing leaders. For aspiring leaders, we'll discuss things you can do to become an IT leader within higher education. For residing leaders, we'll shift our focus to those things you can and should be doing to grow leaders within our profession. Throughout, the speaker will give examples of how he has cultivated leadership within our profession and describe the steps he has taken to encourage others to do so. This will be a participative and collaborative discussion.
