The Road Ahead: What the IT Leaders of the Future Need to Know

Wednesday, October 19, 2011 | 11:30AM–12:20PM | Meeting Room 113B/C
Session Type: E11
IT executives must make decisions regarding three very distinct and interrelated "time zones": the realities of "now" (current fiscal year); the problems and possibilities of "next" (36 to 60 months out); and the potential of "later" (five-plus years in the future). Most organizations allocate the vast majority of their resources to managing the now, leaving the next and later time zones hungry for attention and resources. This session will share research findings of best practices related to managing the future.
