IT organizations have embraced their responsibility for information security leadership. The onslaught of data breaches has refocused campus attention on privacy issues. Laws, regulations, and contractual obligations have heightened the attention on compliance. But the organizational relationship between the three functional responsibilities continues to confound many institutions.
