(Re)designing IT for the 21st Century: From a Functional to a Transformational Organization

Case Western Reserve and Griffith University IT have been redesigned to provide for explicit disruptive organizational capacity to advance opportunities associated with the grand challenges in front of scholars, and other forms of academic pursuit. The CWRU "Design, Build, Run" organization is among of the first explicit (re)design efforts to embrace design thinking and embed disruptive organizational capacity. Griffith University in Australia is engaged in similar explicit reinvention efforts.
