Seminar 03A - A New Take on Computing Spaces: Physical and Virtual Environments (separate registration required)

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 | 9:00AM–12:30PM | Meeting Room 403
Session Type: E12
In the past, computing spaces at many institutions of higher education were designed to meet the needs of a student population that did not possess or have access to computing technology. Now with many students possessing their devices, computing space needs have changed. Seminar participants will discuss how to assess the effectiveness of and satisfaction with current computing spaces and how to make improvements. Topics covered will include the physical and virtual aspects of general access labs, instructional labs, learning spaces, and modular approaches as well as how distance and hybrid learning models impact the need for computing spaces.
