In this interactive workshop, you will learn principles for good policy making, approaches for engendering institutional agreement, and ideas to advance your institution's IT policy program. We will cover an overview of the policy development process, including a review of stakeholders and communications techniques to garner buy-in. We will also help you identify key IT policies and procedures that should be in place at your institution, organizational processes for policy development, documentation of procedures and practices, communication and enforcement, and periodic reviews and updates. Case studies will be used to engage participants.
