Seminar 15A - A Roadmap for Peer Consulting (separate registration required)

Tuesday, October 15 | 9:00AM–12:30PM | Meeting Room 213B
Session Type: Professional Development
CIOs and other IT leaders have an opportunity to share their knowledge and expertise with other colleges and universities (and augment their annual income) by providing peer consulting. The purpose of this seminar is to outline and provide guidance on key aspects of peer consulting, including engagement terms, fee structure, site visit dynamics, reporting, and other important topics. Participants will review some of the typical challenges faced by peer consultants -- such as internal politics and financial constraints -- and discuss strategies for addressing them. The seminar leaders will provide insights about best practices in peer consulting based on the counsel they have provided to more than 100 colleges and universities during the past twenty-five years.
