Faculty Learning Technologies Badges: A New Addition to the Faculty Development Arsenal

Tuesday, September 30, 2014 | 4:40PM–5:30PM
Session Type: Professional Development

Rather than documenting completion of workshops, a university teaching and learning technology organization could offer instructors an evidence-based learning technology badging program with tiers ranging from basic to advanced LT competencies. In this session, we will focus on such an approach and the results of our pilot, as well as collaboration with other institutions.

OUTCOMES: Evaluate a new approach to helping faculty and other instructors document their professional development and accomplishments using learning technologies * Identify components of a faculty pilot approach, and learn about the pilot results with faculty and the results of our collaborations with other institutions * Collaboratively evaluate such an approach and expand interinstitutional collaboration
