Coppin State University recently deployed a Microsoft communications solution that offers voice, presence, instant messaging, and unified messaging capabilities to its faculty, staff, and students using a combination of on-premise and cloud solutions. This presentation will share details of our implementation effort and strategy, as well as feedback from faculty/students and lessons learned.


OUTCOMES Identify how to coordinate technologies to provide a true unified communications solution * Articulate the risk in changing a phone system, including life-safety issues and the risks to having students' information in the cloud * Pinpoint all of the related costs, such as Microsoft licensing, SIP trunking, IP faxing, etc.
