Seminar 10P - Project Leadership and Requirements Gathering: It Doesn't Need to Be a Root Canal (separate registration is required)

Monday, September 29 | 1:30PM–5:00PM | Meeting Room W304E
Session Type: Professional Development

Learn about our university's journey to improve IT projects. Project management methods have helped us get more projects done on time and within budget. Unfortunately, we have "PMed" the heck out of some really crummy projects. Learn how we now avoid these traps with LEGO-style building blocks.

OUTCOMES: Experience, identify, and lessen the impact of at least five common pitfalls associated with large-scale IT initiatives * Observe and be able to implement a more user-focused approach toward requirements gathering that both IT and non-IT professionals can use * Gain access to resources that we have developed for more effective project management, requirements gathering, and collaborative development
