Design thinking, a creative approach to solving challenging problems like boosting student success on tight budgets, was successfully used to develop Project Horseshoe, an NGLC Breakthrough Models Incubator project. Through immersive activities, participants will experience elements of design thinking and develop a rapid prototyping framework for technology-supported resources for student success initiatives.
OUTCOMES Discover the role of and approaches to using institutional data; development activities that engage faculty, staff, and students; and delivery design using multiple IT elements in creating impactful student resources * Identify innovative and integrated uses of IT to create new and meaningful resource solutions * Develop a proposed student resource prototype in small group breakout sessions
