Seminar 19P - IT Infrastructure Projects: A Framework for Decision Making (separate registration is required)

Monday, September 29, 2014 | 1:30PM–5:00PM | Meeting Room W307A/B
Session Type: Professional Development

Join this workshop-type seminar to learn how to engage university leadership in understanding (and funding) infrastructure projects where ROI may be difficult to calculate. Participants will discuss and apply an analytical framework (ECAR report to be published this spring) to real projects from their own universities during the workshop. All participants will be expected to bring information on a project for analysis (preparation time before the seminar is expected to be no more than a half-day effort).

OUTCOMES: Determine types of infrastructure projects and how to assess current infrastructure * Discover a quantitative/qualitative framework for analyzing the need for infrastructure upgrades * Apply these principles to a current infrastructure project at your university
