Seminar 1A - The Learning Brain: Implications for Teaching (separate registration required)

Monday, September 29, 2014 | 1:30PM–5:00PM
Session Type: Professional Development
An idea not coupled with action will never get any bigger than the brain cell it occupied. So, we're hearing a lot from neuroscientists and cognitive psychologists about the brain. Let's see if we can put some of it into action by translating 12 research findings into 12 teaching strategies.

OUTCOMES
Participants will be able to: Articulate the important research findings about how the brain learns * Reflect, discuss, and describe how research findings affect learning strategies * Categorize 12 research findings and explore teaching strategies based on them
