Learn from the experiences and challenges of an instructional designer working with experts in face-to-face instruction to develop pedagogically sound, learner-centered, asynchronous online learning modules. Methods will be discussed for constructing genuine active learning experiences in self-paced online instruction, using—and sometimes in spite of—module development software.


Outcomes: Learn about the benefits of collaboration with face-to-face instructors for online instruction * Identify some methods for creating learner-centered active learning online * Identify ways of creating innovative activities using module-creation software
