Join representatives from the federal Department of Education (ED) to learn more about the central role of colleges and universities in the experimental sites initiatives being offered by the department. Currently active experimental sites include three that relate to competency-based education: the PLA experiment, the Limited Direct Assessment experiment, and the Competency-Based Education experiment. Additionally, ED recently launched an new experiment (EQUIP) to allow nontraditional educational providers to partner with colleges and universities, offering students financial aid when enrolling in these innovative educational programs and piloting new quality assurance processes.
