Session Type: Professional Development
Understanding and addressing unconscious bias can have far-reaching implications for the success of higher education IT organizations. Postsecondary demographics reflect an increasingly diverse population. For IT organizations to be agents of change, we need to better understand how our structures and behaviors continue to reflect the contexts of a majority population. Join us to examine this issue and discover ways to incorporate your learnings into your workplace.

OUTCOMES: Identify and analyze examples of unconscious biases * Investigate and practice responses to them * Anticipate how to transfer similar responses to your own work environment
