Identity and Access Management Model: A Functional Approach

Monday, June 27, 2005 | 9:45AM–11:00AM | Continental C Ballroom
Session Type: Professional Development
Identity management (IdM) infrastructures consolidate information about individuals and provide a nexus for policy, security, and resource access management. Not only does this framework provide a way to control access to institutional resources, but it can also be leveraged to interoperate with federated environments. This session will offer an overview of the IdM-related terms and concepts and present the model developed through the NSF and Internet2 middleware initiatives.
