Academic Medical Centers: Requirements and Challenges
Wednesday, February 09, 2005 | 3:30PM–4:45PM | Palm Ballroom A/D

The academic medical center is often caught in the middle between the more rigid computing environment of the hospital and the more flexible computing environment of the university. Although the schools must meet the same regulatory compliance requirements as the hospitals, they must also have the flexibility to support the needs of research faculty. In turn, faculty must be able to have appropriate access to data and applications regardless of location.
