Open and community source applications are emerging as viable alternatives for some institutions; however, joining these efforts and collaborating with other institutions present challenges. Among the issues that arise are licensing, governance, and ongoing support. This SIG will open the floor to discuss issues and share experiences and suggestions for successful collaboration and participation in open or community source initiatives in higher education.
