The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act requires institutions of higher education to implement policies for protecting financial information. Some institutions may naively assume that FERPA safeguards satisfy all of the GLB Act requirements. This session describes the compliance analysis and subsequent action plan of a doctoral/research university.
