Using Mirapoint’s system, Troy State University was able to evolve from a simple, feature-strapped Sendmail environment to a full-featured e-mail solution. The occurrence of e-mail-delivered viruses has almost disappeared. In fact, viruses in general are rare. In the 12 months prior to deploying the Mirapoint system, the university responded to more than 2,000 help desk calls related to viruses. Nine months after installing Mirapoint, that number had dropped to fewer than 50.
